We were pleasantly surprised by this resort. Beautiful, airy Key West feel and very clean. The only reasons I don't give this 5 stars is the lack of elevators in most buildings (which made our third floor room rough at the end of long days) and a sort of musty smell, at least in building 18. The bus transportation was prompt and frequent, though sometimes the rides felt long, especially with the resort loop. We definitely added more travel time than usual. Olivia's Cafe is a hidden gem and the fried chicken is worth the hype. I wish there were more options for indoor seating for quick service or snacks because the heat index was over 100 when we were there. The key lime Dole Whip was delicious! Everyone in the shops and lobby were helpful and friendly and we did enjoy our stay. I would stay again in a cooler season than summer.

First visit with friends that are members. We have a great time. Very quiet area and relaxing. Very spread out thru the property so you might need to walk to get to the main pool or the smaller pools around the property. They have golf carts to take you from the lobby to your room if needed or too take your luggage when arriving or leaving. We stayed 5 days and was very nice. Recommend place to stay.

This is a WONDERFUL resort! The standard rooms are the largest you will get in any resort on property. The golf course views are absolutely beautiful. The rooms are well maintained and fresh. The downsides (minor details) are the property is very large and the restaurant, bar and pool are all up front and if you have a room toward the back, it's far... however, there is an internal shuttle! Overall, this is a property worth staying! One of my favorites!

We had an amazing stay at Old Key West Resort! We loved the main pool area- super fun slide for the kids, sauna, and great spa! It was very relaxing and not overcrowded. The property also offers pools closer to your room, we used Turtle Pond pool as well. The pool area is huge and beautiful, plus a spa. They also have grills and tables were you could bring food to prepare while the kids swim. The ambience of the resort is great. We did not eat at the resort, but there is a restaurant on site, along with bar and to-go order counter. The rooms are extremely spacious, we booked a 2 bedroom 2 bath first floor unit. We had a king bed in the main bedroom, and the other bedrooms had 2 queens. It offers full kitchen, living and dining area. The best part was a washer and dryer, which is totally awesome for traveling with kids. I enjoyed my coffee on cozy patio every morning overlooking the water. I did feel the kitchen could use update. It comes stocked, but room for improvement. It would be nice to have a knife block and kitchen shear's, large bowls, pot holders, and maybe grilling utensils. The appliances are a little worn, the top rack of dishwasher was broken. The couch was a little worn too. I felt overall it’s very spacious and perfect for families, but needs an update. Another thing to note, since we were on first floor, we could hear the upstairs neighbors kids playing and running. If you like to sleep in, request a second floor unit. Another thing to note, no elevator only stairs to second floor units. Another plus, the beds are super comfortable! The unit was very clean, overall we would definitely come back!

I have been coming to this resort since I was a child and my grandparents first became a part of DVC. This place feels like home. It's laid back and relaxed, the kids have a blast at the main pool, and the back pools are great too because they are less crowded at times. The staff is always pleasant and helpful. The location for me is great because it is less crowded and feels like you are tucked back in the woods. The rooms are FANTASTIC for families! We love that we can cook in the room and not feel like we have to rush out to eat every meal, but there are good restaurants on location at well. This place really lives up to the Disney standards!
